New Life!

As I walked around my flowers, after a rain,
I considered the new life blooming this spring.
The daffodils nodded and the tulips opened to the sky.
They embraced the rain and the sunshine.
They withstood the storms and the wind.
As a new creation or an old one like me,
I can withstand life's storms
as I cling to the one who created me.

Thank you, Jesus.

Easter May Be Over But...

Choosing to follow Jesus fills my heart with hope.
I'm one of those people who has a hard time watching the news.
The sadness pierces my soul with grief.
But the hope I have in Jesus fills my heart with joy.

One day, I will meet Jesus and be reunited with loved ones
who have gone to heaven.
No sorrow, no tears, no negativity. Only joy!
We'll rejoice with the angels and revel in the light of God.

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Rev. 5:13

A Bright Yellow Spot on a Dreary Day

In a large field next to our church, I spotted this daffodil.
The saying I've heard so many times popped in my head.

"Bloom where you are planted."

This lovely drop of yellow amidst the snow covered winter grass
filled my heart with joy.
It bloomed in the midst of a field with no other flowers.

God places me in situations sometimes where I'm uncomfortable,
but I've learned to ask Him to help me grow and serve in that exact spot.

Are you in an uncomfortable place? Seek His help and bloom!
