My Thoughts:
I enjoyed this first book in Barbour Publishing's Gone to the Dogs series. Marigold Evans is a delightful character whose heart for furry four-legged creatures endears her to the reader. As she works as a vet tech, she dreams of owning her own dog rescue. Right after she saves her first pup, she and her coworkers find the vet clinic broken into and vandalized. As they try to find the culprit, Marigold discovers who has her back and who is out to stop her. If you enjoy a fun read with delightful characters, you'll want to read Off the Chain. Fiction Book Review: Every Girl Gets Confused by Janice Thompson

My Review:
Thompson's second book in the series A Brides with Style Novel is as funny and enjoyable as the first one. One of the things I like about the series is the inclusion of several generations of Katie's family and the folks who work in the bridal shop. The interaction between the younger and older characters leads to some humorous and insightful scenes. Aunt Alva is my favorite yet I relate to Katie who contemplates what's best for her in her young life. Where should she live, who should she date, what should she do for a living? The tension between Katie and Brady threads throughout the book and adds to the sweet romance. If you enjoy romantic comedy, you'll love Janice Thompson's, Every Bride Gets Confused.  The series is a fun and relaxing read.

My Review:

I've read several of Janice Thompson's wedding themed books and enjoyed each one. Every Bride Needs a Groom is no exception. Katie Fisher and the small town she lives in are a breath of fresh air. Her family is a hoot. From her countrified brothers to her wayward aunt, they each add another layer of entertainment to the story. I think I smiled the entire time I read this delightful story. The fun didn't stay in small town, Fairfield, Texas. When Katie traveled to Dallas and met the crew at the high-end bridal shop, the comedy continued. The whole concept of a pro-basketball player working in a wedding shop is funny and almost believable. If you enjoy romantic comedy, pick up a copy of Every Bride Needs a Groom. It's a five-star read!
